Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment

A comprehensive psychiatric review is a detailed assessment that helps us understand a young person's emotional wellbeing, development, behaviour, relationships, learning, and daily functioning. It allows us to explore concerns in depth, review previous supports, and develop a clear plan for moving forward.

A review may include:

  • Discussion of current concerns and goals

  • Review of emotional, behavioural, social, and learning difficulties

  • Developmental, family, school, and medical history

  • Consideration of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning differences

    and other neurodevelopmental conditions

  • Assessment of mental health concerns

  • Review of previous assessments, reports, and treatments

  • Discussion of strengths and areas of support

Following the review, we may provide diagnostic clarification, treatment recommendations, medication advice, referrals, and supporting documentation where appropriate. Each review is tailored to the needs of the young person and their family.
